So we all know the fascination that I have with anything that pierces the darkness. Usually the bigger the better, but in this instance, smaller definitely has its place. What place is that you might ask? Well let me pose a question. Its a dark night, and you just pulled over a car for a moving violation. Maybe your crawling around in the back of your truck looking for your first aid kit. Your tire is flat and you have to change it. Those are just a few of the times a small, hands-free light would come in very handy. My personal favorite use for this light is flying on a red eye flight. If you haven't ever flown a red eye, let me fill you in on how it works. You take off, the pilot turns off the cabin lights, then you land. But what if you need to go to the bathroom, or dig a book out of your carry on bag?
In comes the QuiqLite XP-440. The worlds only hands-free 100% concealed light source that fits in your shirt pocket. Powered by 2 x CR2032 batteries, the XP-440 emits light through 2 super bright LEDs. These LEDs are programed to come on either in single or dual illumination mode. They are bright enough to provide you with enough light to write a traffic citation, locate a first aid bag, or change a tire, but not bright enough to damage your night vision. When you clip it on the brim of your hat the arm will swing out 180 degrees, and the light will shine wherever you look.

When I saw these at SHOT '07, I thought it was a neat idea, but probably something that I wouldn't get much use out of it. I mean, its a towel right? I've got plenty of normal towels and they work just fine, what can this do that the regular cotton towels can't?
Here is what I learned after using the Micronet towel just a few times.
• Incredibly small packed size fits easily into a backpack, travel pack or luggage. I have one of the large and X-Large towels. When the X-Large towel is packed away in its bag, its about the size of a single DVD case, but its pliable and will fit almost anywhere.
• Super absorbent—holds up to 5 times its weight in water! Even when it gets wet, it just keeps absorbing the water.
• Fast and easy drying—hand wringing removes almost all water and provides fastest dry time. With most towels, you dry off, then you have to hang the towel up, and 2hrs later its dry. With the Micronet, you dry off, wring it out, and 10 minutes later its dry. Even us guys cant mess that up.
• Includes convenient hanging loop. Hook it on your backpack, or on the back of the door.
• Microfiber weave dries faster than regular towels.
• No special laundering required, just toss it in the cold wash.
